"Celebrating Freedom and Honoring our U.S. Armed Forces". The Springtown War Memorial Association (SWMA) is a Non-Profit 501c3 organization. It is composed of various members of the Springtown, Texas area including veteran's, the Mayor, area clergy, and U.S. Armed Forces family members.
Please visit the Veteran's Memorial in the Springtown Park at the corner of Corner of Walnut Creek & Lake Drive in Springtown, Texas. The beautiful park was dedicated on November 12, 2011 with United States Congresswoman Kay Granger as the keynote speaker.
The purpose of the park is to honor, recognize, and forever remember those who have have served, fought and died in service to our country in the U. S. Military. SWMA helps the Springtown, Texas community and surrounding areas to observe both Memorial and Veteran's day by organizing public events.
SWMA will host our 5k Run/Walk/Roll “Run to Remember” on Saturday, November 1, 2014. The event honors the military men and women who have served, fought and died to protect our country. The opening ceremony is at 7:30 AM with the 5k beginning at 8:00 AM. Funds raised will go toward improvements to the Springtown Veteran’s Park in Springtown, Texas.
This event is
open to the public and all ages. If you are a minor a parent or legal guardian
must sign for you.
- If you or someone you know has served and/or still serves you may walk in their honor. If you would like to walk in Honor or Memory of an individual, please supply us with a 4 x 6 photo and we will place the individuals photo on your registration bib. The photo should be submitted with your registration.

You may register as an individual or as a team. $25.00 Entry Fee per person
$20.00 Entry Fee for families with 3 or more paid entries. $5.00 Discount per entry given to family members with 3 or more paid entries. *In order to receive the discount, we must have 3 or more individual family entries received and paid for together*
Committee meetings are held on the 1st Monday of March, June, September, and December beginning at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 102 E. 2d Street, Springtown, Texas.
